Matthew Paxton, LPC, is a dedicated and compassionate licensed professional counselor, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to his role at Family Solutions. Matthew holds a master's degree in Counselor Education from Louisiana State University and has further honed his skills with an Educational Specialist certification in School Counseling, also from LSU.

With a diverse professional background, Matthew has served in various capacities, including as a school counselor, where he provided crucial support and guidance to students navigating the complexities of academic and personal development. He has also lent his expertise to the high-pressure environment of a hospital Emergency Room, offering compassionate counseling to individuals and families facing crisis situations.

In addition, Matthew has extensive experience as a counselor in private practice, where he has had the privilege of working closely with clients from all walks of life. He understands the importance of tailoring his approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, recognizing that no two journeys are alike. Matthew's holistic approach to therapy encompasses the belief that true wellness extends beyond just mental health, incorporating elements such as physical well-being, spirituality, career fulfillment, family dynamics, and social connections.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Matthew finds fulfillment in his role as a husband and father to three young children. Family is at the heart of everything he does, and he brings this same sense of dedication and commitment to his work with clients.
