Today, Correct Care provides on-site behavioral health services in 12 facilities across Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, and Arizona. These include ICE-supervised centers as well as hybrid facilities that also house local arrestees, pre-trial detainees, and individuals serving shorter local or state sentences. Across all settings, our mission is to ensure that every person in custody has access to compassionate, high-quality mental health care based on their individual needs.

 

Our teams of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and mental health counselors deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed care. Our treatment plans, clinical protocols, and program practices are developed using standards and best practices outlined by nationally recognized bodies such as the NCCHC, NIJ, and PBNDS to ensure ethical, consistent, and effective care.

 

Correct Care provides comprehensive behavioral health services including counseling, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and psychiatric treatment. Suicide prevention is a major focus, as it remains one of the leading causes of death in correctional environments. Facilities we serve have seen significant improvement in overall safety and mental health stabilization as a result of proactive screening, early intervention, and ongoing support.

 

Our clinicians are trained to assess and manage severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and acute psychosis, including those related to substance use. We also provide symptom management for individuals experiencing substance withdrawal who are medically stable, helping to prevent escalation and promote safe recovery.

 

Beyond individual care, Correct Care strengthens the stability, compliance, and performance of the facilities we serve. Consistent behavioral health support contributes to calmer, safer, and more humane environments for both residents and staff. Our programs also help improve audit readiness and compliance performance, supporting facilities in meeting and maintaining state, federal, and contractual expectations.
