Richard L. Sylvester, Ph.D., MP is a licensed Medical Psychologist in Louisiana as well as a licensed Psychologist in Arkansas. He has worked with adults, adolescents, and children in Arkansas and Louisiana for the past 10+ years. He is the former Director of Training for South Arkansas Regional Health Center (SARHC) and their American Psychological Association accredited internship program in psychology as well as their former Director of Adult Clinical and Emergency Services for the SARHC – El Dorado office and Director of Substance Abuse Treatment Services. He has been an invited speaker at numerous professional conferences and published scholarly articles regarding treatment of various mental health disorders. He earned his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. He holds multiple master’s degrees in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, and Clinical Psychopharmacology. His professional interests include teaching, psychological assessment and diagnostics, psychopharmacology, addictive disorders, and working with underserved populations. He currently resides in Louisiana with his wife and son. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, outdoor activities, and tinkering on old cars.
