Sarah is a provisional licensed counselor with the state of Louisiana. She has experience working with adolescents in a full psychiatric treatment facility, in private practice, and in school settings on issues concerning divorce, academics, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and other maladaptive behaviors. She has worked with adults and couples experiencing separation, divorce, betrayal trauma, affair recovery, chronic and undiagnosed illness, and parenting/coparenting. Sarah is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Master of Science in Counseling, Bachelor of Science in Health Studies, and a Bachelor of Business Administration - Marketing. She is a humanistic therapist utilizing cognitive behavior therapy, reality therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and Gestalt therapy. Sarah works to move her clients into the present by emphasizing mind-body awareness, identifying feelings, acceptance, personal responsibility and growth, emotional regulation, and the individual human experience. She maintains a holistic, client-centered approach to her clients, their presenting problem, and the path forward.
