I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MFT1375) in the state of Louisiana and (#720-124) in the state of Wisconsin. I am passionate about working with adults, children, families & couples and have over 23 years of experience supporting individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings. I work with those who have experienced stressful or traumatic life events, anxiety, depression,  grief and loss, and those who exhibit challenges with life’s adjustments & transitions at home, school and in the work place. Using  a combination of talk therapy methods, play therapy, art, and other experiential methods, I support adults, couples, families and children in finding their inner strengths and reaching their true potential. I believe in meeting people where they are at and doing what I can to assist them in finding their authentic voice and life balance. I strive to create a safe and inviting environment for those seeking therapeutic services. I believe vulnerability and growth go hand-in-hand, and in order to achieve optimal growth, people need to have a safe and comforting environment in which to explore that which is troubling them.

Prior to relocating to Monroe, LA to attend the ULM Marriage and Family Therapy Ph.D. program, I lived in Madison, Wisconsin where I enjoyed providing mental health services in office, school, and in-home based settings. I provided training in communities for an internationally renowned family support program; consulted & provided reflective practice supervision to daycare centers, Head Start programs and home visiting programs; taught in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Edgewood College and provided individual and group supervision for interns and residents through Edgewood’s MFT Family Center; facilitated a cancer support wellness group at Gilda’s Club; and provided Prepare and Enrich classes to couples through my faith community. I was an active member of my faith community and a Stephen Minister, a role I hope to continue in Monroe.

I am a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and hold an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Designation. I am a Certified Prepare and Enrich Therapist and a Level II Gottman Trained Therapist. I have received advanced training in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Discernment Counseling, and Solution-Oriented Therapy.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughters & sons-in-law and my grandchildren. Together we enjoy cooking, playing games and talking football. I love to read, scrapbook, and find treasures for upcycling. I am looking forward to making Monroe my home sweet home.
